Whilst every wine cellar or room we build is bespoke, a typical process is followed. Covering everything from creative design and handcrafted joinery to professional installation and additional build work, your wine storage will be safe in our hands.

Whether you want a substantial custom wine cellar, or hanker after a feature wine wall, you’ll welcome Demada’s support from concept to completion.

It’s an exciting project for you, let’s enjoy each step together.

First steps

Your email or phone call gets the ball rolling. You’ll have many questions. We’ll ask you a few too. For example:

  • Do you have initial ideas or photos you like?
  • Do you have specific requirements (e.g. type of wood or temperature control)?
  • What are the measurements of your space?

From here, we’ll provide some indicative costs. If you then want to talk further, we arrange to visit you.

Designing your custom wine cellar

Like many high-end interior businesses, we use SketchUp 3D design software to bring our ideas to life. You’ll see your wine cellar design in both 2D and 3D. We can add colours and tones for different materials. Even wine bottles!

Clearly visualise what your finished custom design will look like. This is when your dream starts to take shape.

Should you change your mind a few times, we’ll patiently help you create exactly what you want. It’s your special feature and it’s got to be right.

Building your wine cellar

Once your design is complete, we’ll get to work whilst you sit back and look forward to the results. We’re UK-based wine cellar builders, based near Usk, Monmouthshire.

Choice of materials

You’ll have chosen your wood from many samples. Most of our joinery uses European or American oak. European oak has a more characterful appearance; American oak is more subtle. Should you prefer a dark wood, we’d recommend walnut.

Expert craftmanship

All our wood is FSC certified and carefully selected for its quality. We know its provenance so you can too. Using decades of craftsmanship, our joiners will handmake every part of your wine cellar, building it in our own workshops.

Additional building work

Sometimes, a door would be better in a different place. Or you might want to coordinate the joinery into an adjoining area. Ask us to carry out any additional joinery or building work whilst on site. It’s one less thing for you to think about.

Temperature control

Should you require temperature or humidity control, we involve an air conditioning company called Air Craft. They’ll help you store your wine in the best possible climate. You’ll have met Air Craft on our first visit, so they’ll understand your needs first-hand.

Glass doors and walls

Some custom wine cellar designs include complex glass panels or doors. Glass Trend is a specialist in this area, and we’ll call on them if your wine storage includes such features. Glass Trend will bring your glazing ideas to life and provide some ‘wow’ to your wine feature.

You might want to install new lighting to showcase your wine collection. Perhaps some spotlights on feature areas, or mood lighting for when entertaining. We’ll discuss this on our visit. Everything will be ordered and ready to install on our agreed date.

Installing your custom wine cellar

With a huge amount of build work completed before we return to your home, the installation of your wine cellar will be as hassle-free as possible.

Time-served, uniformed professionals, our installers are used to completing bespoke, high-end projects, where attention to detail is paramount. We’ll seal off the area, neatly covering outside pathways and interior floors. We’ll make the minimum of mess and leave none behind.

Once your wine cellar is installed, we’ll take the time to ensure you’re completely happy with our work. We want you to be utterly delighted with your show-stopping feature. Anything less is not good enough.

Our quality promise to you

We know choosing a designer and builder for your custom wine cellar is an important decision. You’re trusting us to do a fantastic job. You want to enjoy, not endure, the process.

And so, we offer all our customers the Demada Quality Promise:

  • Should you not be happy with any aspect of your wine cellar, we’ll put it right.
  • Should there be a fault in years to come, we’ll put it right.
  • Should you damage part of the cellar at any point, we’ll put it right.

It’s a no quibble assurance because we’re confident in what we create. We want you to be happy for years to come, not just on the day of completion.

Just promise us you’ll enjoy using your beloved wine cellar, week in week out.
